Mas Gading MP Datuk Dr. Tiki Lafe said Bau is one of the most developed constituency where development is an on going process in a local paper on Saturday.

Mordi Birmol, PA to MP Kuching Chong Chieng Jen held out two newspaper today to show to the press. One was the English daily where Tiki said there was many changes made in Mas Gading while a Chinese paper highlighted in a page problems of infrastructure which included roads, street lightings, security, drainage and rubbish problems not only in Mas Gading but the whole of Bau. Both articles were out on the same day.

Mordi said he agreed with the Chinese papers as he himself had made rounds in Bau and there were many things that the government had yet to improved the life of the people.

He said take the  bridge in front of SK Sebobok. The bridge collapsed in February and when he brought up the issue in May this year, Tiki spoke in a church that he had allocated RM150,000.

"Till today, we have yet to see a piece of wood for the repair of the bridge, what more building a new bridge," said Birmol.

He said he went to Kpg Sebobok yesterday and it was pouring. There were children playing on the bridge which is dangerous.

Calling to the government to know their priorities, Birmol said the safety of the children is important. The bridge should be repaired as it is already coming to August.
