Hajijah 73 from Kampung Sejingkat said she was at Jalan Masjid Padang Pasir around 10.30am when the trio met her and said they were assigned to give out rice and RM300 incentives to senior citizens.
Hajijah then followed the trio in a vehicle to a supermarket near Jalan Tabuan where she was asked to take off her gold necklace, bracelet and ring. They told her that if she has gold jewelry on her, the government would not approve her grant.
After that they told her to go into a supermarket to have her photo taken. Hajijah went into the supermarket and looked for the photo shop but could not find any. She realised she has been conned and lodged a police report.
