Manageress right hand chopped off

A manageress who was having breakfast with her husband at Sg. Maong coffee shop had her right hand chopped off witnessed by the horror of coffee shop patrons and stall owners.


The victim aged 52 was a regular customer to the coffee shop every
saturday. Her husband who had gone to buy newspapers nearby rushed his
wife to the Sarawak General hospital with the hand.


The incident occurred after around 7 am today. The husband aged 60 is a pensioner.


According to some eye witnesses, about 7 men in a MV came out of the vehicle masked and armed with sharp objects.


They tried to chop off her other hand but failed. She sustained several cuts on her left hand.


An eye witness who is familiar with the victim said he is shocked at the attack. He said the victim is a nice friendly woman.


He said he believed the attack was planned as he had seen the car
before the couple arrived at the coffee shop.


Police are investigating the case.
